17 Nov 2017

A dignity of RAF Air Cadet chaplains has met to lay plans for the organisation’s church service to mark the RAF centenary next year.

Led by The Rev James Pitkin the padres representing each region of the UK discussed options for the service to be held at St Clement Dane’s Church in The Strand, London.

A parade and reception in the Royal Courts of Justice, with RAF Air Cadets Ambassador Honorary Group Captain Carol Vorderman and 700 cadets is also planned.

The meeting was held at HQ RAF Air Cadets, RAF Cranwell, Lincolnshire and also discussed a variety of topics including welfare and bereavement support, the recruiting of chaplains and chaplain support for next year’s camp season (2018).
